Job Duties:15Develops and maintains a customer focused culture to ensure that OSHP''s programs and services are of superior quality and satisfy customer needs.Essential15Ensures internal communications among OSHP personnel is clear and effectively sets OSHP expectations for employees. Job summary: Directs and manages the Occupational Safety and Health Program for the Medical University of South Carolina. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable Occupational Safety, Environmental and Joint Commission regulations, policies and codes.

Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 8: $59,161.00 - $84,309.00 - $109,457.00 (min - mid - max)

FLSA: Salaried

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree and four years relevant program experience.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bachelor's and Master's degree in Health and Safety field. Ten year's experience in Health and Safety field. Progressive management responsibilities within a higher education institution with an academic healthcare facility. Extensive knowledge of regulations regarding health and safety, and environmental protection. Proven experience with regards to injury prevention and regulatory compliance. CHSP and CSP preferred.

Guidelines and Supervision: This employee is expected to independently provide guidance and leadership for all areas within their responsibility, given broad goals and objectives.
