Description:

The Stan Richards School of Advertising & Public Relations at the University of Texas at Austin seeks applicants for a faculty position to begin Fall 2019. This position is open-rank, meaning tenure-track (Assistant Professor) or tenured (Associate or Full Professor). Applicants should have expertise in media analytics and be able to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants with a Ph.D. are preferred, with evidence of strong research, excellent teaching, and/or commensurate media analytics industry experience. Salary is competitive.

In the Stan Richards School, our faculty is one of our best assets. Our unique mix of research expertise covers four main areas: pro-social persuasion, health and science communication, brand and identity, and new technology. Across those areas, we draw from quantitative and qualitative methods and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across campus.

Qualifications:

Applicants with a Ph.D. or near completion of the Ph.D are preferred, with evidence of outstanding research, teaching, and grant potential. We will also consider exceptional candidates who have a Master’s degree in economics, statistics, decision science, or a similar quantitative field with significant media analytics industry experience, coupled with strong industry ties, creation of new media analysis methods, and higher education or professional teaching experience.
