General Summary

Working closely with one or more faculty members or department administrators, the Teaching Graduate Assistant will solely provide direct undergraduate instruction.

The Teaching Graduate Assistant will be compensated through a stipend, which may be paid from the instructional budget of the department. The Teaching Graduate Associate does not receive a tuition waiver.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

In consultation with one or more faculty members or department administrators, assist in the teaching of sections of undergraduate course(s). Responsible for multiple facets of course preparation, instruction, assessment and tutoring of students.

Other departmental related duties as required.

Qualifications

Ability to work up to 20 hours per week is required.

GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.

Admission and enrollment in a graduate program is required.

Maintenance of a 67% course completion is required.

Enrollment in at least 4 credits for Fall and Winter semesters is required.
