Job Details
The School of Nursing invites applications for possible part-time positions teaching nursing courses in the clinical setting. Potential courses include Essentials of Professional Nursing I, II or III; RN Essentials of Professional Nursing I, II, or III, nursing electives, or nursing research.
Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesTeaching may include a number of particular obligations which employees are expected to fulfill, including but not limited to: providing classroom or online instruction and evaluation to nursing students, meeting with students during and outside of assigned classes, following syllabus as provided, assessing student work and performance, working with lead faculty to provide optimal learning experiences, and assigning and submitting grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules in addition to performing related duties as required by the School.
QualificationsA minimum of a Master's degree completed in nursing, along with 2 years clinical practice within the specialty area is required. Prior clinical teaching experience is preferred.
