Department College of EngineeringResponsibilities The candidate will work on a project in smart grid control in conjunction with FSU’s Center for Advanced Power Systems (CAPS, https://www.caps.fsu.edu/). The candidate will also participate in CISCOR’s research in robotics. The projects will heavily utilize CISCOR’s proprietary approach to Model Predictive Control (MPC), which is described in the IROS 2017 tutorial slides found at https://www.ciscor.org/iros-2017-slides. Some experience with MPC is important and experience with one or more of the following topics is desired: graph search, power system control, and robotics.Qualifications This position requires a Ph.D. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering or a closely related fieldPreferred Preference will be given to those who have established track records in teaching and/or relevant industrial experience.Contact Info Please address questions to Dr. Emmanuel G.
