Department Office of Distance LearningResponsibilities Provide guidance to faculty instructors and instructional designer staff about most effective ways to capture and deliver video based learning content.

Analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate video based learning content. Capture video (lecture and introductory) of instructors for online learning programs.

Assist faculty with video technology training for students and instructors (e.g., camera, editing software).

Support the upload, linking and presentation of videos.

Administer Digital Media Repositories from a content side, making sure that videos are uploaded properly and are pushed out to instructional designers in the right format.

Produce and design video content and digital media assets for multiple online education courses including lecture content, program and course overview videos, titles, animation, and B-roll. Additionally, produce other miscellaneous single and multi-camera events and promotions for FSU. Handle projects from initial concept and design to final delivery.
Create supporting title graphics using Adobe Creative Suite and other graphics creation programs.

Set up and operate video recording equipment, including audio and lighting systems. Intermediate post-production editing of video content using Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, and other editing programs.

Encode web-based multimedia to multi-format files including Windows Media, MPEG4, Quicktime, and other formats as needed or requested.Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and four years' experience or a combination of appropriate post high school education and experience equal to eight years.

- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Experience and/or knowledge of multimedia and instructional course software.
- Ability to document existing and new processes.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Experience as a Multimedia Producer/Editor/Videographer.

Experience with creative storytelling, interviewing, and online learning pedagogy.

Experience with digital video and audio, streaming media, and new online learning technologies.

Experience with audio, video, and quality control equipment.

Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions for academic instruction and online learning.
