RESEARCH STUDY ASSISTANT, School of Public Health, Community Health Sciences

The primary responsibility of the Research Assistant (RA) is to screen, enroll, and interview study participants for the ADOPT Study, a NIH-funded clinical trial of inpatients with alcohol use disorder. The study team is based in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the Boston University School of Public Health and study participants will be enrolled at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Once enrolled, the Research Assistant will track participants over time and conduct follow up interviews. Additionally the Research Assistant will provide administrative support to the study, will assist with the development of protocols, forms and assessments and perform quality control procedures for the ongoing research. The Research Assistant will participate in staff meetings and write meeting minutes, which will be distributed to the research team. S/he will perform other administrative duties as needed.

  • The RA will perform data collection, data entry, and database maintenance.
  • Assists with research, preparation, and maintenance of research related materials and basic data analysis.

Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience required.
