Visiting Assistant Professor Chemistry & Biochemistry
The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department’s Clinical Laboratory Science Program invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor for the 2019 – 2020 academic year. The program seeks candidates committed to teaching excellence at a comprehensive institution that supports both liberal arts curricula and professional programs. This position will support Clinical Lab Science program and provide support for PEq courses in Science.
Teaching responsibilities will include clinical microbiology lecture and laboratory, hematology lecture and laboratory, and other courses as needed.
The Nazareth College Clinical Laboratory Science Program opened in 2014, and recently received NAACLS accreditation. The program is located in Peckham Hall, a 74,000 square foot facility for integrated math and science that was recently ranked 20th for Best Science Lab Facilities by the Princeton Review. The program is part of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.

Masters degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related scientific field.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Professional US certification in CLS at the MLS/MT level. 2 years of work experience in a clinical laboratory as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist.Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related scientific field or specialist certification in Microbiology or Hematology. Teaching experience in a NAACLS-accredited Clinical Laboratory Science program.Special Requirements
