This position is located in the Information Technology Services (ITS) department.


This position is responsible for managing the functional and accounting responsibilities related to procurement, human resources administration, inventory and warehouse, property and fleet, and accounts payable for the University Business Administrators (UBA) site at Information Technology Services (ITS), inclusive of Northwest Regional Data Center (NWRDC).

Oversees procurement, property compliance, inventory and warehousing, accounts payable, and human resource transactional functions for ITS. Manages and supervises ITS staff handling these functional areas. Provides leadership and direction of business processes and reporting by reviewing, analyzing, interpreting, developing and implementing policies and procedures essential for the sound and effective management of those areas.

Serves as liaison between ITS and other related University functional areas; purchasing, property, inventory and warehousing, fleet management and human resources. Interprets and provides advice and counsel to the Associate Director and ITS executive team concerning business and administrative policies of the University relevant to purchasing, human resources, and property accounting functions.

Serves as a member of the UBA/ITS senior management team. Responsible for providing guidance to the UBA Associate Director and assisting the ITS Directors/Associate VP on the interpretation and implementation of University policies and procedures. Recommends policies and procedures to the ITS management team to ensure compliance with federal, state, and university regulations. Interprets and communicates these policies to the ITS organization.

Conducts research as appropriate for projects or initiatives within the ITS organization. Provides detailed assessment reports and recommendations in order to support the mission of ITS.


Bachelors degree and four years of experience, or post high school education and experience equal to eight years.

Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Experience identifying complex problems and reviewing relevant information in order to develop and implement effective solutions.

Experience training and supervising employees.

Experience using principles, practices, and standards of human resource administration.

Experience preparing financial reports.

Experience preparing clear and concise reports, policies, procedures and correspondence.

Experience public speaking.

Experience using computer applications (ex: Microsoft Office and Excel) and intermediate computer functions.

Experience using practices and principles of fiscal control systems.

Anticipated Salary Range

Low $50,000's to $60,000. Salary commensurate with experience.

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.


If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.

Criminal Background Check

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
