The Department of Communication within the College of Arts and Letters at the University of Tampa seeks to hire a full-time Professor of Instruction in Communication to begin August 2019. This is a non-tenure-track, teaching-focused position with opportunities for advancement and contract renewal.

The University of Tampa is a medium-sized, comprehensive, residentially based private institution of 9,200 undergraduate and graduate students. We are looking for a communication generalist who is able to deliver introductory undergraduate courses such as Mass Media & Society, Media Writing, and Visual Literacy. The teaching load for this position is four courses (16 credit hours) per semester.

A Ph.D. in Communication or a relevant field is required. Candidates who are ABD will be considered, but the Ph.D. must be completed by August 15, 2019.
