Click here for an example. The Department of Radiology & Medical Imaging at the University of Virginia is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Clinical Research Trainee or Clinical Research Coordinator, Non-Licensed.

The Clinical Research Trainee or Clinical Research Coordinator, Non-Licensed incumbent assists with and/or conducts clinical trials, which includes recruitment, registration, scheduling, and enrollment of participants, as well as data collection and statistical analysis.

The incumbent assists with and/or collects and manages patient and clinical trial data for research projects to create follow-up patient surveys. The Clinical Research Trainee or Clinical Research Coordinator, Non-Licensed incumbent correlates research materials and assists in writing scientific articles and papers. In addition, the incumbent maintains imaging research equipment in accordance with required guidelines.

The Clinical Research Trainee or Clinical Research Coordinator, Non-Licensed incumbent is responsible for ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met and for maintaining the highest levels of quality possible.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Clinical Research Trainee: Non-Licensed Trainees must possess a Bachelor's degree, and Licensed Trainees must have a least an Associate's degree with an an appropriate health-related license (Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) and/or Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) designation).

Clinical Research Coordinator, Non-Licensed: A Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of applicable research-related experience is required. A Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) and/or Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) designation combined with at least four years of additional professional experience will be considered in place of degree.

Both CRC Levels: Qualified candidates at either Clinical Research level must possess skills in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Access and Excel.

Preferred Experience: Research experience in clinical trials and imaging preferred. Experience in complex database systems preferred as well as experience with EPIC and PACS clinical patient systems.

The successful candidate will have the ability to follow set laboratory policies and procedures and adhere to regulatory guidelines in daily work. The successful candidate will also have a basic knowledge of clinical research, have the ability to independently research topics, possess a working knowledge of the specific study subject matter, and have knowledge of medical terminology.

In addition, the successful incumbent will demonstrate excellent oral and written communication in daily interactions and have the ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
