TEACHING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN CHILDREN’S PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (http://illinois.edu/) and the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health (http://kch.illinois.edu/) are searching for an outstanding candidate for a nine-month, non-tenure track appointment at the rank of Teaching Assistant Professor. A strong candidate will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the area of Children’s Physical Activity and Pedagogy, coordinate/supervise the physical education student teaching program, participate in scholarly activities, and provide an appropriate level of service.

Qualifications: Successful candidates must have an earned doctorate in kinesiology or a related area. A record of teaching and academic scholarship that meets qualifications for the rank of Teaching Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is required. Candidates must effective collaborators with faculty from a variety of disciplines. Desired qualifications include: expertise in children’s physical activity and physical education, teaching experience in higher education, and a willingness to participate in scholarly activities.
Salary: Compensation is competitive and will be commensurate with the applicant's record.
