Job Description
The College of Nursing and Health Science invites qualified applicants for a non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor position in Nursing with a possible start date as early as spring 2019.

The non-tenure-track faculty responsibilities include teaching, engaging in research and practice, and contributing to the college, university, and community through service. Implement, and evaluate undergraduate and graduate courses and student learning. Model exemplar professional behavior through work with students, peers, and community colleagues. Provide student support to include mentoring, advising, recruiting, project supervision. Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with community practice partners. Participate in the CONHS activities that contribute to achieving TAMUCC and CONHS organizational goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Nursing
  • Experience with on-line courses development, teaching, best practices in online education and uploading to the Blackboard platform.
  • Experience and/or interest in working with diverse student populations.
  • Successful record of supervising nursing students in the clinical area

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with web-based course delivery methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach effectively in a BSN program
  • Certification in high areas of need, which include Psychiatric and Gerontological nursing.
