Job Description

The Department of Educator and Leadership Preparation is currently seeking a non-tenured track Adjunct faculty in Early Childhood for academic year 2018-2019. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in Early Childhood.   Teaching assignments may include day, night, or weekend classes. Flexible to suit course schedule.  

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Early Childhood or related field from a regionally accredited institution.  
  • Experience as a teacher of young children or early childhood professional working with children and families.
  • Experience working with diverse children and families.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Early Childhood from a regionally accredited institution.  
  • Knowledge about culturally relevant and sustainable pedagogies.
  • Experience working with public and/or private early childhood settings.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Once selected, applicants will be required to submit additional documents which may include three original professional letters of recommendation and official transcripts from each degree-granting institution. Unofficial transcripts are accepted by email before the hiring process is complete. Prior to issuing a letter of appointment, official transcripts must be received directly from each degree-granting institution by the Search Committee at the address listed below. Letters of recommendations must also be sent to the address listed and must be received directly from each author.
