The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), part of the State University of New York and an internationally renowned college of art, design, business and technology with a strong emphasis on liberal arts, invites applications for a adjunct teaching positions in the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures.



Job Description:


The Department of Modern Languages and Cultures at F.I.T., S.U.N.Y. is recruiting a pool of applicants for possible adjunct teaching positions in the following languages: Mandarin Chinese, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish.



Requirements:


Candidates should have native or near-native fluency in both the language taught and English. A Ph.D. or other terminal degree is preferred. Candidates must have at least a Master's Degree, as well as thirty (30) additional and appropriate graduate credits and/or evidence of scholarly achievement, professional activities and teaching experience. The requirement for the Master's Degree may be waived if the candidate is in a doctoral program in which the Master's Degree is not required, or if the proposed instructor has certification in a specific discipline.
