Job Summary:

Reporting to the Academic Support Manager, SI Leaders provide learning assistance for appropriate courses. Basic functions include the following:

Attend most class meetings of selected course, take notes, do assigned materials; prepare and facilitate learning sessions.

Conduct 60 minute study sessions per week throughout the term using strategies learned through SI Leader Training.

Report to the Academic Support Manager weekly.

Meet with the course instructor to align course content with SI Session..

Keep and submit attendance and performance data weekly.

Complete and submit all required forms (e.g. time sheets, evaluations, etc.)

Attend training activities before and during semester.

Adhere to all SI policies.

Position Qualifications:

Must be a current Waubonsee Community College student.

Needs to have received an A or B in the class of study.

Must be recommended by the course instructor and should provide two additional recommendations.
