Job Summary:

The Federal Work Study position reports to the Financial Aid Manager and/or the Veterans Coordinator and assists in the processing of student/veteran student files and documents and provides customer service to the student/veteran and financial aid student populations in person and via phone.

Basic Responsibilities:
• Assist in maintaining new, active, inactive, and pending files.
• Process incoming mail, email, and phone calls/voicemail from students/veterans as needed.
• Provide face-to-face customer service to veteran and financial aid students as needed.
• Prepare veteran files in preparation for certifying enrollment to the VA.
• Assist in reviewing the VA program reports for enrollment adjustments, contract updates, reconciliation, and SAP.
• Scan VA/student documents into the campus system and check for accuracy.
• Complete other clerical tasks for both Veterans Services and Financial Aid as needed.

Position Qualifications:
· Must have completed a 2018-2019 FAFSA and be eligible for Federal Work Study program.

· Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours.

· Must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 G.P.A.

· Must be at a passing status for Financial Aid’s Standards of Academic Progress.

· Excellent communication, human relations, and organizational skills; must maintain confidentiality.

· Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
