POSITION: Two (possibly three) tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in Accounting are available in the Department of Accounting and Finance in the College of Business. The department seeks dynamic candidates with expertise in at least one of the following areas: auditing, accounting information systems, or big data management. This appointment carries an initial two-year appointment beginning with the 2019/2020 academic year, August 26, 2019.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: PhD in Accounting or DBA with an Accounting major must be completed by March 1, 2020. Professional certification, evidence of scholarly activity, ability to bring diverse perspectives, and relevant work experience are all considered assets. Applicants should demonstrate capacity for high quality teaching (as evidenced by teaching evaluations if available). Applicants must be able to legally work in the U.S. as of the first day of the contract.

DUTIES: Applicants will be expected to teach courses as assigned in the Department of Accounting and Finance, participate in research and scholarly activities consistent with AACSB expectations, provide advising to students as assigned, engage in service to the university and community, and participate in department, college, and university committee work. Teaching in the MBA program is part of these positions as is teaching online (either undergraduate or MBA).

DEPARTMENT: The Department of Accounting and Finance offers comprehensive undergraduate majors in both accounting and finance. The present faculty consists of 11 full-time positions serving 410 accounting majors and 470 finance majors. The Department also provides instruction for the MBA and entrepreneurship programs of the College.
