Teaching assignment will include instruction at the associate and baccalaureate levels in organic and general chemistry to include lecture and laboratory sections. Additional duties within the Physical and Life Sciences department will include student recruitment, student advisement, curriculum/course development and college/department service.
Ph.D. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or related field required. Documented teaching experience in both lecture and laboratory settings required. A diverse background, including practical experience in the disciplines of general, organic, and/or inorganic chemistry is preferred. Evidence of teaching excellence and a commitment to active-learning and student engagement is preferred. Experience with the operation of chemical instrumentation including the gas chromatograph, mass spectrometer, and infrared spectrometer is desirable.
