General Description

Delaware County Community College is seeking experienced carpenters to instruct a variety of day-time carpentry classes at Main Campus in Media.

Duties

Successful candidates are required to teach both lecture (theory) and lab (practical applications) classes in:

  • Introduction to Basic Floor Systems
  • Introduction to Roofing and Siding
  • Advanced Roofing and Siding
  • Advanced Framing Design
Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Formal training in carpentry or related trade
  • Minimum of five (5) years of on-the-job experience
  • Have the skills related to the course being taught.
  • Have extensive knowledge of the use and operation of various hand and power tools.
  • Be able to work with a diverse group of students.

Applicants are required to either present to human resources current and valid PA Act 153 clearances or be able to obtain them expediently.
