Multimedia Technical Analyst Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 201809133782 Full Time 8AM - 5PM $53,700 - $66,750 Position Information The Multimedia Technical Analyst will serve on a team that provides comprehensive support for the delivery of Multimedia Services and applications to the entire campus with an emphasis on instruction. Key areas will include administering and maintaining network based Multimedia Control and Distribution Systems. In addition to the management of student employees' pre- and post-video production activities, the incumbent will also manage server-based digital media capture and delivery applications. The Analyst will utilize operational level desktop computing skills to coordinate the maintenance of both Mac and Windows-based machines in General Assignment classrooms, applies skills and knowledge of applications to create and deliver training workshops in all aspects of the use of multimedia in an instructional environment. Please note: This position is a one-year contract position with the possibility of extension based on available funding. Experience Experience Requirement Minimum of 5 years of related experience. Required Demonstrated experience with managing digital media delivery applications (such as Mediasite and Kaltura) including managing access-control limits in an educational environment and integration into LMS. Required Experience with IP-based multimedia systems, including signal control systems such as Extron, Crestron or AMX. Preferred Expert level experience in desktop computing platforms including client management systems. Preferred

Required Must possess or obtain a valid CA driver license in accordance with the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Required Ability to drive University-owned vehicles on general campus as well as satellite centers. Minimum Requirements Knowledge of intellectual property (IP) restrictions and skill to ensure that media meets IP requirements.
Skills to determine priorities based on knowledge of work area. Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Demonstrates problem solving skills.
Thorough understanding of media production methods and equipment and ability to use this information to troubleshoot the most complex systems.
Thorough understanding of post-production processes including internet-based media distribution solutions.
Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds. Thorough customer service and consultative skills to identify and implement required technology solutions.
Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.
Ability to assess campus or institutional needs for AV IT technology products and design services to meet those needs.
Knowledge of computer, media, and networking technology.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
Preferred Qualifications Background in network based multimedia control and presentation systems.

Working knowledge and experience in use of still-cameras and video-cameras, including production planning, setting up the field for live productions, and video editors for post production.

Skill in maintaining and co-administering video streaming and storage servers and services, including user and permissions management.
