Student Health Systems Analyst Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 201810094501 Full Time 8AM - 5PM Commensurate with Experience Position Information The Student Health Systems Analyst reports into the central technology organization and serves as the primary technical business analyst in support of the Health and Psychological Student Services (HAPSS) division. The Student Health Systems Analyst provides a variety of senior business support tasks in the areas of data analytics, business intelligence report development, process analysis, general application administration, project management, user training and general technical support with a strong awareness of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) compliance requirements. The salary offer will be commensurate with experience within the budgeted range of $80,000 to $90,000. Special Conditions Special Condition Requirement Must pass a background check. Required Occasional travel for business meetings, conferences, and developmental opportunities. Required Must possess or obtain a Valid CA Drivers License in accordance with the California Department of Motor Vehicles, if driving a university/personal vehicle for university related business. Minimum Requirements Broad and/or in-depth knowledge of 1-2 areas of focus in clinical applications specialty area(s). Knowledge of systems and functions, including design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation.
Strong analytical skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting, with the ability to design and execute tests, analyze system performance data, and produce substantive reports and analyses.
Strong problem-resolution skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose problems, and develop, test, and implement appropriate and effective solutions in a timely manner.
Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to convey technical information and instructions to all levels of clinical applications users in a specific, clear, and concise manner.
Detail oriented, with proven organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and see projects through to completion on deadline.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively, train, support, and work collaboratively with users of clinical information systems at all professional and technical levels.
Ability to work with senior staff and managers, serving as a technical resource and providing advice and counsel on issues of functionality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, policy, and performance.
