Rowan-Cabarrus Community College (RCCC), is seeking part-time Psychology Instructors. A Part time faculty member is expected to maintain high standards of professionalism and high academic standards of professionalism and high academic standards. Up to 29 hours per week are to be spent in the following: direct instruction; preparation and evaluation of instruction; accessibility to students; committee assignments; Faculty may be assigned a teaching schedule that includes any college location, and at times that meet student, program and college needs.

The adjunct psychology position is for classroom only. We DO NOT have any openings for online psychology positions.

Staff Required Education/Experience:

Educational requirements varies by course.

Faculty Required Education/Experience Skills:

- Applicants must have Master’s degree in Psychology or master’s degree in another discipline with 18 hours graduate credit in psychology with a PSY prefix.
- Computer/technological skills are required.
- We also require flexibility in schedule (days/times), as well as the ability to drive to multiple campuses (our campuses range from Concord to Salisbury, NC).

Desired Education/Experience/Skills:

Two years teaching experience is preferred (especially at the collegiate level).

When applicable, ensure laboratories are appropriately stocked with required supplies and equipment is in safe operating order.

Business and Industry Services' staff provide customized support for the community through the Small Business Center, New and Expanding Industry Training and Focused Industrial Training. The Small Business Center is designed to assist small business start-ups and to help existing businesses grow. The college's New and Expanding Industry Training office has earned national recognition for cooperative training efforts with area industries. Focused Industrial Training designs innovative educational programs for the service region's manufacturing sector.

An important function of the college is to provide educational programs on the pre-college level. Literacy Services offer adults the opportunity for meaningful social and occupational growth through Adult Basic Education (ABE), Human Resources Development (HRD), and the High School Equivalency Program (GED).
