Job Summary/Responsibilities:


TheDepartment of Genetic Counseling in the School of Health and RehabilitationSciences at the MGH Institute of Health Professions inBoston is seeking a full time Director of Research to start January 1, 2019.

The Directorof Research (DR) is primarily responsible for the oversight of all studentCapstone researchprojects and for the coordination and evaluation of student researchexperiences. Additionally, the DR is responsible for the Capstone researchcurriculum, teaching in the associated research courses, and developing andsustaining collaborative relationships with internal and external researchersand statisticians. The successful applicantwill also be expected to take part in scholarly and professional activities.



Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with thegenetic counseling field, teaching, research process, quantitative andqualitative statistics, IRB, and other related subjects. Genetic counselingprogram leadership experience is preferred and a strong publication history isrequired.  Thecandidate must minimally have a Master’s degree and be credentialed in theirfield, as appropriate, and have at least 3 years of work experience.  Faculty academic rank is commensurate withexperience.
