Marymount is dedicated to academic excellence. Our faculty are scholars and practitioners in a wide array of fields; but above all else, they are committed to excellence in the classroom. They join with our staff and administration in making this commitment: At Marymount University, students come first.
Committed to the liberal arts tradition, the University combines a foundation in the arts and sciences with career preparation and opportunities for personal and professional development. Marymount is a student-centered learning community that values diversity and focuses on the education of the whole person, promoting the intellectual, spiritual, and moral growth of each individual. Scholarship, leadership, service, and ethics are hallmarks of a Marymount education.
Marymount’s Main Campus is located in Arlington, Virginia, in a tranquil neighborhood approximately six miles from Washington, DC. It is convenient to Interstate 66, Routes 50 and 29, and the Ballston-MU Metro. Free University shuttle service is available to and from the Metro station.
