The School of Business and Technology (SBT) invites Marymount doctorate students enrolled in the university’s D.Sc. in Cybersecurity to apply for a 1/3 Doctoral Assistantship position.
One position is available for Spring 2019.
A 1/3 Doctoral Assistantship works 7 hours and receives 3 doctoral credits.
•Providing services to the doctoral program including supporting faculty who are administering and teaching the program, including assisting in the review of research activities maintaining communication using tools such as Slack, and managing materials on Canvas, etc. (40%)
•Planning and organizing academic events for the doctoral program (10%)
•Creating and maintaining the DSc in Cybersecurity Canvas site (15%)
•Assisting in faculty research and development projects (25%)
•Support the program’s marketing effort (10%)
To be eligible for a Doctoral Assistantship, a student must:
1-Be accepted into Marymount as a doctoral student
2-Have applied to or be registered in at least 6 credits in the Doctoral Programs in Cybersecurity during any semester in which you are awarded a DA position
3-For current students, incoming graduate GPA must be at least 3.25
4-Extensive research experience
•Strong skills in writing, and interpersonal communication
•Initiative and ability to work independently, including creative problem solving
•Familiarity with technologies commonly used for educational purposes, such as Canvas, Google Sites, Microsoft Office, Slack, etc.
•Familiarity with today’s marketing techniques including social media, blogs, etc.
•Teaching and/or mentoring experience
