Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

We seek someone who can bring innovative teaching, engaged scholarship, service, and practical experiences to the classroom and can add to the intellectual climate of the School. Collegiality and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary School are essential.

Candidates should possess experience in teaching upper-division required and elective Media and Entertainment courses, such as Fundamentals of Media & Entertainment Studies; Global Media Systems; Uses & Effects of Mass Media; Gender, Race, & Media; Film & Video Structure & Process; and our Media & Entertainment Capstone. There is also a possibility of teaching School-wide courses such as Communication Research Methods and Communication Theory, and courses in our graduate programs. Faculty in the school teach in a variety of modalities: face to face, hybrid, and online.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

An earned doctorate degree in communication, mass communication or a related field, or the foreign equivalent. Applicant must also demonstrate evidence of teaching excellence, have a record of continuing or promising scholarly activity, and possess a commitment to mentoring and advising students.
