Description:

Parking Enforcement will report to the Campus Police Supervisor who manages the unit. The employee will be responsible for enforcing GGC parking policies in the parking lots. The employee will perform administrative duties as needed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The student holding this position reports to the Campus Police Supervisor.

Duties include:

* Understanding and interpreting campus parking policies
* Writing campus parking violations
* Be able to explain campus parking policies
* Walk and/or stand for long periods
* Use electronic devices
* Speak clearly on a radio/phone
* Working outside and inside
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: Must be enrolled a minimum of 6 credits at Georgia Gwinnett College in good academic standing and maintain good academic standing for the duration of employment.

Physical Requirements

Position may require local travel. Depending upon specific duties, position may require a College-issued uniform or shirt to ensure employees engaged in representing the College to the community are clearly identified as such. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone and in writing. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Work typically requires light physical effort. Long periods of standing, walking, carrying light loads, and moving around parked vehicles are involved in this position's responsibilities. Extended periods of visual concentration and attention, manual hand dexterity, and the ability to interact with the campus community in a conversational manner. May have to deal with angry or upset citizens. Job takes place in outdoors environmental conditions.

Work Hours:Position may require non-standard work hours (nights and weekends). Position Status:Part-Time
