Job Summary

Seeking Engineering Quarterly Faculty

The current openings must be filled by January 2, 2019. Candidates must be available and eligible to work in the U.S. at Eastern Washington University no later than that date.

The Engineering & Technology groups of the Eastern Washington University Engineering & Design Department are looking for potential quarterly (adjunct) faculty. Applicants that can teach in the following programs are desired:

  • Mechanical Engineering,
  • Mechanical Engineering Technology,
  • Electrical Engineering,
  • Applied Technology,
  • Construction Management Technology, and/or
  • Manufacturing Technology.

Expertise to teach courses in one or more of the following areas (please describe in your cover letter):

  • Manufacturing Technology.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching college level engineering or related courses preferred

Teach course(s) assigned for the quarter.

Teaching includes the following additional related responsibilities as defined in the faculty CBA:
o Meet all scheduled classes
o Plan, organize and inform students of the course content, texts, readings, assignments, attendance regulations and methods of evaluation including grading scales
o Schedule and attend office hours
o Turn in grades according to established deadlines

Additionally, all faculty are expected to actively participate in assessment of student learning and to engage in effective teaching.
