SUMMARY Serves as liaison and connects students to personal, academic, and career support services. Conducts individual and group program-engagement sessions. Collaborates with faculty, staff, and counselors to ensure optimum student support. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Serves as liaison and connects students to personal, academic, and career support services Assists in selecting and identifying new student participants as assignedMonitors participants’ academic progress and refers to counseling department as neededAssists students with completing financial aid and scholarship applications, writing essays/papers, connecting to academic support, and informs students of Student Support Services program offeringsMaintains accurate and timely documentation of all necessary data to ensure compliance with the U.S. Department of Education Conducts individual and group program-engagement sessionsMay conduct parental outreach to provide student progress reportsEnsures students develop applicable technological and professional knowledge and skillsFacilitates supplemental skill-building concepts for students enrolled in high-risk coursesMeets regularly with staff for participant and program evaluationsWorks collaboratively with the Student Counseling department to ensure deliberate and attentive student referrals when neededMeets with faculty regarding student progress and course content/materials, as neededAssists in writing and editing the departmental newsletters and other correspondence as neededMay attend College-wide meetings, workshops, and conferences as directed Assists with metric tracking and report preparationPerforms other duties as assigned
