Post Doctoral Fellow- High-Energy Astrophysics

The successful candidate will work under the mentorship of Dr. Marco Ajello on the analysis and interpretation of data provided by the Large Area Telescope on board the Fermi satellite. Dr. Ajello’s research focuses on the study of the extragalactic background light, the gamma-ray background, active galactic nuclei and the study of objects in the plane of our Galaxy. Familiarity with the physics of gamma-ray sources, the capability to work with multi-wavelength data and knowledge of Python are considered assets.


Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Physics or Astronomy with a background in gamma-ray astrophysics, or particle astrophysics.
