ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES SPECIALIST, Global Programs
This role reports to the Associate Director, Finance and Administration.
Facilitates employment processes in multiple countries (approx. 30 global sites) and domestic locations for the instructional and administrative staff (approx. 400 staff members), through the preparation, and oversight of onboarding and payroll matters, and the maintenance of the supporting HR records, requiring in-depth understanding of BU payroll policies and host country employment regulations.
The specialist will take the lead on process improvement process for Global Programs related to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements.
The position is responsible for managing the payroll process for the temporary and student employees at Global Programs based in Boston (approx. 60-70/year) with direct oversight of (approx 2) student employees.
This also role oversees the complex details related to the high volume of international and domestic travel expenditures for the global programs staff. And is responsible for office procurement and vendor contracts.
The specialist will review and approve travel authorizations for Global Programs staff following travel guidelines/policies and approved travel budgets, and will oversee the onboarding process for new hires in Boston.
Bachelors degree, and three plus years of experience. Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time. Strong attention to detail. Discreet and heightened sense of awareness when working with sensitive data. Strong cross-cultural interpersonal and communication skill and the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff. Proven track record of proactively solving office operational issues.
