Instructional Technology Manager
The Instructional Technology Manager will support Roosevelt University faculty in the identification and use of best in class instructional technologies; including multimedia and web technologies. The Instructional Technology Manager will be the support contact for the faculty use of the Learning Management System (LMS). The Instructional Technology Manager will be the Blackboard Administrator and be responsible for LMS upgrades, maintenance and troubleshooting. The Instructional Technology Manager will develop a standardized technical toolbox to support the needs of faculty teaching in online, blended, and face-to-face learning environments.
This is a full-time exempt position located on the Chicago Campus. This position reports to the AVP for Academic Technology Solutions.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
A bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or related field.
A minimum of 2 years experience working in academic technology.
Understanding of curricular development, learning theories, and academic assessment.
Attention to detail.
Knowledge of both MAC and PC environments helpful.
Excellent project management, consulting and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple relationships and competing priorities concurrently.
Ability to maintain a high level of communication and collaboration with all technology support departments and ITS teams to ensure prompt, effective resolution of problems.
Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships.
Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by embodying Roosevelt’s core values, mission, and vision in every aspect of the role working with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
A positive and professional demeanor is a must.

Under the direction of the AVP, Academic Technology Solutions, and in collaboration with IT, implements a standardized technology “toolbox” which offers a range of pre-approved software and technologies that support a variety of learning environments.
Plays an important role in efforts to create, promote, and facilitate the use of technology rich learning environments.
Provides creative problem solving for day to day issues.
Advises and trains faculty on the use of the institution’s learning management system (LMS),
Schedules, implements the annual Blackboard upgrade and monitors the Blackboard performance.
