The Department of Radiation Oncology at Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine (SSOM) invites faculty applications for a newly created Endowed Professorship. We seek an innovative researcher to advance cancer-focused studies that can integrate both foundational and clinical investigations. This individual is expected to play an important role in Loyola University Chicago’s initiative to significantly expand its nationally recognized cancer programs in partnership with Trinity Health. We are specifically looking to recruit a Radiobiologist at the tenured Professor rank for this Endowed position. The candidate’s research efforts are expected to complement our clinical oncology strengths in the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center and laboratory research programs in the areas of Cancer Immunotherapy, Cancer Signaling, and Cancer Epigenetics & Gene Regulation. Other research areas may include investigations focused on oncologic processes and mechanisms, cancer cause and/or prevention, targeted therapy and therapeutic discovery. The Stritch School of Medicine is a strongly collaborative research environment with substantial core facilities and integrated graduate education programs. Faculty responsibilities include sustaining an independent, externally-funded research program, and contributing to graduate, medical and resident education through teaching of Radiobiology and associated courses. Candidates must have a PhD or MD/PhD, a strong record of research publications and current external support.
