The WERS Video Coordinator reports to the Operations Manager. In a collaborative effort with other members of the WERS Leadership Team (Creative, Live Mix, Music), the WERS Video Coordinator will establish a volunteer team to assist in capturing and editing content deemed worthy for posting on WERS.Org and the WERS Social Media pages.
All video work must adhere to ADA guidelines in regards to captioning and general accessibility.
While the primary focus will be on performances in the WERS Live Mix Studio, there are also special programming features to capture in addition to some special event coverage at remote locations.
Since there are heavier and slower times with video activity, the WERS Video Coordinator will also be assigned basic administrative duties so as to gain deeper exposure to all departments at WERS and develop transferable skills
As with all student employment positions, timely completion of student employment timesheets is an essential part of this job. Failure to comply with the student employment policy for timesheet submission will result in a verbal warning for the first offense, a written warning for the second offense, and termination of employment for the third offense.Required Qualifications
Familiarity with commercial and consumer video cameras and apps along with editing software.Preferred Qualifications
