The University of La Verne College of Law invites applications from entry-level and lateral candidates for full-time, tenured and tenure-track faculty positions expected to begin July 1, 2019. We welcome candidates across all areas of law, although subject areas of particular interest include Torts-ILS, Criminal Law-ILS, Civil Procedure, Contracts, Constitutional Law, Criminal Procedure, Business Organizations. At the College of Law, we teach legal writing in the ILS portion of Torts and Criminal Law. Candidates must have a J.D., Ph.D., or their equivalent in an area related to the law school curriculum, as well as a distinguished academic record. Preferred candidates will possess strong scholarly potential and a demonstrated commitment to teaching and student success.

The College of Law is approved by the ABA and offers both full-time day and part-time evening programs. It is located in Ontario, California, about 40 miles east of Los Angeles. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a complete background investigation. The hiring range for this position is dependent upon qualifications and departmental equity. Specific Duties

Teach Torts/ILS, Crim/ILS, or other subjects as assigned; Develop the courses and materials. Perform core responsibilities and duties of tenured-track professors as prescribed by ABA Standard 404.

Minimum Qualifications

J.D. from an ABA-Approved law school.

Preferred Qualifications

Practice and teaching experience in fields relevant to teaching assignment; teaching experience at an ABA-approved school.
