JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

WPI invites applications for the position of Adjunct Teaching Professor in area of Biology and Biotechnology . The University welcomes culturally and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber, skilled in the scholarship of teaching, discovery, application and integration of knowledge.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute is seeking part time adjunct faculty to teach day and/or evening classes for our Corporate and Professional Education Department. Part-time faculty positions are created to provide an available applicant pool for the department. Positions will be filled on an as needed basis. Start dates will vary by course and semester.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Adjunct Teaching Professor will potentially teach graduate courses off campus in a corporate setting and/or online.  Some courses include a skills-based laboratory at WPI’s Biomanufacturing Education and Training Center (BETC). 

Immediate needs include applicants with expertise in the following areas:

  • Bioinformatics
  • Upstream Processing - Animal Cell Culture and Microbial Fermentation  (may include hands-on teaching)
  • Protein Purification and Downstream Processing (may include hands-on teaching)
  • Scale-up of Bioprocessing (may include hands-on teaching)
