This HPER faculty position is a nine-month open rank (Assistant, Associate, Full) appointment. Duties include teaching 12 credit hours per semester, student advisement, engaging in scholarly activities and professional service, and working on departmental, college, and university-wide committees. The successful candidate will teach courses in the undergraduate and graduate curriculum, which may include introduction to sport and recreation, economics of sport, sociology of sport, sport finance, sport marketing, facilities and event management, sport governance, sport communications, management of sport and recreational organizations, and other courses as needed. Experience in teaching management related courses and coaching related coursework is preferred. Additional responsibilities include maintaining office hours in accordance with university policy, and performing other duties as assigned by the department chair. Applicants should have a high commitment to effective classroom and online teaching, student advising and mentoring, curriculum development, research/scholarship and professional activity.

Doctoral degree in Sport Management, Sport Administration or closely related field is required. Background in teaching at the university level (undergraduate as well as graduate) as well as experience with program development and student mentoring is desired.
