Job Details
The University of North Alabama invites applications for adjunct (part-time) teaching positions expected to be available during the current term. Persons holding adjunct teaching positions normally teach three to six credit hours or nine contact hours per semester. Payment for adjunct teaching is on a standardized university scale according to credit or contact hours taught.

Organization
Established in 1830 as LaGrange College, the University of North Alabama has a rich history including the distinction of being the first state-supported teachers college in the South. The school's 130-acre campus is located in the historic district of Florence, Alabama, on the Tennessee River. Students come from around the country and world, but UNA is largely a regional university with about 70% of students coming from Alabama. Students can choose from more than 60 majors with professional fields in business, education, and nursing being most popular. Academic programs are supported by a 23 to 1 student / faculty ratio and an average class size of 25. On the athletic front, the UNA Lions compete in the NCAA Division I ASUN Conference.
