Department Overview
The Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology in the School of Public Health at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) in Fort Worth is seeking an outstanding faculty colleague at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the field of Biostatistics. The successful candidate for the ranks of Associate or Full Professor will be expected to have a well-established record of scholarship, extramurally funded research, teaching, and mentoring.

Position Details
The successful candidate for the rank of Assistant Professor will show strong evidence of potential as an independent researcher and scholar. All research areas of biostatistics and statistics are welcome. Duties include teaching, mentoring of students, and service to the Department. This is a full-time, 12-month position.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

* PhD or equivalent in biostatistics, statistics, or a related field is required prior to employment.

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Recognition or promise of outstanding contributions as a scholar
* Successful record or promise of sponsored research and ability to foster a collaborative program of research
* Enthusiasm for teaching
* Commitment to inter-professional education and interdisciplinary research

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Candidates with expertise in statistical genetics, Bayesian statistics, missing data, big data, data mining, survey methodology, and clinical trials are highly encouraged to apply.
