Savannah State University seeks qualified applicants for Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management. This position is responsible for the University’s Enrollment Management Plan, including comprehensive oversight for planning and implementation of goals, objectives and strategies related to each office under Enrollment Management, as well as ensuring those goals, objectives and strategies are reflective of the vision and mission of Savannah State University. Provides strategic leadership and direction in all institutional initiatives related to student enrollment, retention and advising, and will ensure each objective is in direct alignment with the overall mission and goals of Savannah State University. Serves as a member of the President’s leadership team; collaborates with the executive members to review, develop, establish and implement a strategic, comprehensive enrollment plan as well as general University policies and procedures. Directs the formulation, implementation and enhancement of recruiting strategies, including marketing plans for recruitment and retention of students, enrollment policy, divisional operations, and services; advises the President and Executive Leaders on enrollment management and retention trends and issues. Conducts analysis and prepares reports on reenrollment activities, measures, and makes recommendations to attain University enrollment and retention goals. May be directed to perform job related tasks other than those specifically delineated in this description. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience; competitive benefits program.Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree required; Ph.D. or ABD preferred, with a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible higher education administrative and fiscal management experience. Three years of experience in enrollment management, admissions, financial aid, or retention required; seven years of experience preferred. Enrollment management leadership experience at a regional comprehensive public institution preferred. Must have ability to develop and implement a comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan. Demonstrated success at development and implementation of strategic initiatives and programs and ability to articulate vision of growth and success. Strong records of leadership and success at progressively middle management in higher education administration. Demonstrated successful management capability at a complex and highly diverse institution, including project and resources (physical capital, human, technology, etc.) oversight. Evidence of commitment to ethnic, cultural, and gender diversity, and advancing the interest of underrepresented groups; knowledge of contemporary issues in higher education. Exceptional oral and written communication, fiscal/budgetary planning, interpersonal and organizational skills; capacity to exemplify highest ethics/credibility standards. Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, problem solving and research capacity, including ability to analyze or interpret and articulate complex information/data and documents.
