The incumbent serves as an interface between members of Institute Advancement (IA), Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) team and vendors outside of the division that provide services. Minimum Qualifications

•Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related discipline
•Minimum 2 years of experience working with an enterprise information system utilizing a large relational database and associated SQL (Structured Query Language) compliant tools.
•Demonstrated ability to design, implement, research and analyze data.
•Relevant combination of education, training and directly related work experience in a comparable position may be substituted for degree.

Preferred Qualifications

•3 years of experience in customer support and analysis
•Experience in training preparation and presentation
•Experience in Higher Education environment
•Experience in Project Management
•Experience with Ellucian or related Higher Education Software
•Experience with Business Intelligence concepts and tools

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

•Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as email and calendar software
•Working knowledge of the internet
•Skills for technical writing including the ability to write policies and procedures
•Good written and oral communication skills
•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
•Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
•Planning, organizing and effective time management skills
•Ability to analyze and interpret data and systems
•Ability to anticipate and solve problems
•A thorough knowledge of relational database concepts
•Ability to learn new software, software tools and techniques
•Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives, independently or in a team environment
•Proven skills in training preparation and presentation
•Ability to translate customer problems into technological solutions
•Ability to take initiative and to define priorities for assignments

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

•Familiarity with institutional advancement software desirable
•Familiarity with Visio and Map Point software

The Business Support Analyst/Trainer reports to the Director of Advancement Analytics, and serves as an interface between members of Institute Advancement (IA), Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) team and vendors outside of the division that provide services. The analyst is responsible for defining and providing all training needs for Institute Advancement staff related to software, technology and systems by preparing training materials, delivering and/or arranging training by outside vendors. Using an in-depth knowledge of the system configurations for IA systems, the analyst will also work to ensure that systems are set up to provide maximum productivity. The analyst will work both independently and within a team to solve business needs using approved technological solutions.
