The Center for Automation Technologies and Systems (CATS) is seeking talented researchers at all levels. Research staff perform advanced research in a specified field and serve as a technical resource within the Center. The researchers tailor research efforts to the needs of the supporting groups.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree or foreign degree equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

Preferred Qualifications

Additional opportunities exist for those with a relevant advanced degree, publication record, and/or significant additional years of paid professional experience in a related position. Individuals who possess these qualifications and who have the potential to, or a demonstrated track record of being able to build collaborative external partnerships are especially desirable. Relevant combinations of training, education and experience will be considered.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Candidates must have:
-A strong background and interest in experimental heat transfer and two-phase flows.
-Ability to work with researchers to develop and apply
science to advance their fields of study
- Ability to work with scientists or industrial users to identify and apply advanced technologies to their areas of application
