Job Summary and Description

Adjunct (part-time) faculty to teach courses in Art, Design and Multimedia Curriculum (Graphic and Web Design). Responsibilities include teaching Graphic Design and Visual Communication courses including but not limited to digital media foundations, graphic design, typography, publication design, web design, interaction design (UI/UX), motion graphics and interactive media. Depending upon program needs and the candidate’s qualifications, teaching assignments may be on LCC’s downtown campus, at an extension center (within 40 miles of the downtown campus), and/or via online delivery methods. Adjunct faculty are expected to work collaboratively with senior department faculty to develop course content consistent with official course syllabi, to deliver course instruction to students, and to be available for student assistance and advising outside of class. Additional responsibilities may include participation in course assessment, department/program meetings, professional development activities, and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (from a regionally accredited college or university) in an art related discipline
  • Portfolio reflecting 5 years or more of work
Preferred:
  • Adobe Certification
  • Web Design Experience
