Job Summary and Description

The Lansing Community College Technical Careers Division, offering over 30 programs in which we focus on providing students with high quality education and training, including significant hands-on learning opportunities, is seeking experienced, committed, and dynamic administrative personnel to assist our exceptional students, faculty, and staff. The Aviation Program Coordinator will assist the Program Director in managing all elements of the Aviation Technology Program, which resides at the Mason, MI campus. The position includes managing student recruitment, enrollment, financial aid, retention, FAA-mandated records, FAA communication and coordination, supply ordering and budget compliance. Assists the Program Director in project management, strategic goal achievement, major equipment acquisition and intra-college communications and relationships. Serves as coordinator for Advisory Board meetings and activities, and maintains relationships with outside vendors, other educational institutions and employers.

This position will be required to work a variable schedule. (3 days a week from 8 am-4 pm; 2 days a week 10 am-6 pm).

Education and Experience

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience managing people, projects, events, or budgets

Experience in customer service

Preferred:

Experience working directly with students/customers in such area as recruiting, retention, advising, satisfaction, goal-completion, and problem-solving.

Understanding of aviation operations and academic programming and counseling.
