Job Summary

The Electronics adjunct instructor reports to the Business and Technology Department Chair or designee. The electronics adjunct instructor’s duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to classroom and lab instruction of electronic fabrication, DC-AC, digital applications, safety, quality, equipment, instrumentation, and troubleshooting. Provide professional leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum, advise and recruit students, participate in professional development activities, maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, and work with the various administrative functions of the college. Performs other related work as assigned. Teaching assignment may include day and evening classes.

Minimum Qualifications

Five years of recent experience in the field or relevant teaching experience. Associate degree in relevant field preferred, but employment, certifications, and/or teaching experience may be substituted for a portion of the education requirement. Ability to understand the teaching and evaluation methodologies used in the total instructional process. Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff members in a professional manner. Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments. Ability to establish effective working relationships with others. Ability to clearly communicate. Must comply with established College rules and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited college and a minimum of three years of recent experience in the field.
