Student status is required to be eligible for student positions. Must be enrolled in a minimum of six hours during a long semester. Maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Limited to working no more than 20 hours per week.

Job Summary

Financial Aid Office is looking for someone who is receiving the Pell Grant to be a tutor at Port Arthur ISD. This is part of the America Reads Program. Student will help elementary students in learning to read. Works up to 20 hours a week.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be able to communicate well with small children and adults.

Preferred Qualifications

Must be eligible for federal work-study and enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours during a long semester.

Lamar State College - Port Arthur, a member of The Texas State University System, is an open-access, comprehensive public two-year college offering quality and affordable instruction leading to associate degrees and a variety of certificates.
