Position Information

Job TitleAdjunct Instructor for Industrial/Process TechnologyType of PositionFacultyResponsibilities

Will teach classes in the Industrial and Process Technology field. Specifically seeking instructor for Health, Safety, & Environmental course as well as other courses in the Industrial and Process Technology department. Must have experience and knowledge of process operations, safety, health, and environmental, OSHA regulations process instrumentation, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

Two-year degree required; Bachelors degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years recent experience in the petrochemical/plastics industry and/or teaching experience in the industrial field. Experience and knowledge of process operations. Familiarity with Orange county industries. Basic computer literacy required. Valid driver’s license required. Must comply with established college policies and standards.

Lamar State College Orange currently has a student body of approximately 2,648. Two-year academic programs are offered in business, communication, computer science, criminal justice, education, liberal arts, theater, natural science and sociology. These academic programs lead to associate of science degrees and will transfer to four-year institutions for students seeking baccalaureate degrees. Thirty technical programs are available, leading to associate of applied science degrees, certificates of completion and institutional awards. Some of these degrees include process operating and industrial technology, instrumentation, and medical office. Customized training programs to meet the needs of local business and industry and offered through the Continuing and Workforce Education Department.
