Position Information

Job Title Dean of Student Services, Enrollment Management, and Student Activities Type of Position Staff Responsibilities

The Dean of Student Services, Enrollment Management, and Student Activities reports to the Executive Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs and is a senior position responsible for providing leadership and support to the College’s Student Services, and Enrollment Management. The Dean is responsible for overseeing enrollment growth through recruitment, admissions, records, advising, testing, counseling, registration, and financial aid; supporting retention efforts through ADA services, child care assistance, career services, and transfer assistance; managing student activities and discipline including coordinating the establishment of a Behavioral Intervention Team. The Dean will work with other key management personnel and external stakeholders to help define, develop, communicate, and implement the College’s mission, long-term goals, and strategic plan.

Qualifications

Requires a Masters degree from an accredited college or university. Doctorate degree preferred.

Requires a minimum of three to five year’s progressive administrative experience with at least three years at a higher administrative level. Community college, lower division, or two-year college experience strongly preferred. Extensive knowledge and experience in Student Affairs. Possess a proven track record developing, implementing and supervising student services, enrollment management, and other programs and services.

This position is security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code §51.215.
