Centralia College is currently seeking applicants for part-time Communications instructors to teach Public Speaking during the upcoming school year.

Essential Duties Summary

Public Speaking: Apply methods for managing speech anxiety, holding attention, and making points in a variety of public speaking situations, including techniques for being credible and ethical. Communication theories and interpersonal skills also studied.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in communications or related field from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree with composition/rhetoric emphasis.
Successful teaching experience at the college level.
Ability to adapt teaching to various student learning styles.
Ability to teach online or hybrid classes.
Leadership communication skills from the private sector.
Small group communication skills from the private sector.
